There’s nothing quite like those first days with a newborn. The warmth, the quiet moments, the overwhelming love that fills the room. Recently, I had the joy of photographing baby Maddie with her wonderful family for a cozy In Home Newborn Session In Greenville. It was one of those sessions that remind me why I love newborn photography.

The Sweetest Family Moments

Maddie was a dream to photograph. She slept soundly through the session, nestled in her parents’ arms, entirely peaceful. Her mom, Hannah, and dad, Grant, were glowing with pride, savoring these early moments with their baby girl. They had Grant’s mom visiting, who was there lending a hand (and joining in for a few special photos!) I was able to capturing three generations together, which is something truly magical.

The Adorable Ottis

Their playful dog, Ottis, was full of energy, but he couldn’t resist the chance to be close to Maddie. Watching him snuggle up beside her, peeking into the frame with his cute expressions, was an absolute joy. The photos we captured with Ottis and Maddie together turned out to be some of my favorites! There’s something so special about documenting the family pets with a newborn.

A Walk Outside

We ended the session with a quick walk outside their home, where the natural light brought a soft, beautiful glow. Taking the last few shots outside is something I love doing because it adds variety to our in-home lifestyle session and gives the family a chance to relax, breathe in the fresh air, and just be together. Hannah and Grant held their sweet girl while Ottis trotted happily alongside, making it the perfect close to a beautiful day.
