There’s something uniquely special about capturing a family in the place they call home. Recently, I had the joy of photographing Samantha and her family at their charming farmstead in Southern Greenville County. This session was about more than just beautiful photos; it was about capturing the essence of their family in a place they’ve poured their hearts into.
I first met Samantha over a shared love of sourdough. We connected instantly, bonding over the art of homemade bread and stories of family life on her farm. When she invited me to photograph her family on their 10 acres, I knew it would be a session close to my heart. Filled with authenticity, laughter, and the comfort of home.
A Family in Their Element
As I pulled down the gravel drive, I was first greeted by their big white farm dog, who gave me a friendly welcome. Soon after, Samantha, her husband, and their kiddos came out to meet me, all smiles and waves. Their kids ran around with the boundless energy of little ones who know every inch of the land they call home.
The Beauty of Home
The late afternoon light cast a soft glow over the fields, adding a little extra magic to the moment. Their daughter and son were completely in their element, playing and exploring while we captured each moment. Their farm dogs joined us, weaving in and out of the shots, adding their own personality and charm to the session.
