This maternity photoshoot in Spartanburg felt like the best kind of spring day. Just warm enough to feel hopeful, everything starting to bloom, and a couple who clearly enjoy just being together. Megan and Tristan met me at Milliken in Spartanburg, and they brought along their pup Nova, who was definitely ready for her close-up.

Nova is a Belgian Malinois, super loyal, super smart, and you can tell she already knows something big is about to happen. She stayed close to Megan the whole time, like she was already stepping into the role of big sister.
I loved this session because it was simple in the best way. Just a couple expecting their first baby, soaking up the season and letting me document this little slice of life before everything changes. Megan looked beautiful in soft, neutral tones, and Tristan was right there with her, so easygoing and clearly excited for what’s ahead.
We walked around the gardens, found a few pretty spots, and just let things unfold naturally. No stiff posing or over-the-top setups—just genuine connection, a few laughs, and a very photogenic dog who stole the show a few times.
Early spring always feels like a fresh start, and this session was exactly that. The calm before baby arrives. A little time to slow down and take it all in.
