Top Homeschooling Resources | What we have loved for years

One of the most important things to me when I was first starting my homeschool journey was finding the right curriculum to guide our family. Well, 6 years later and I am happy to say that I have found quite a few resources that I use over and over again. I’ve curated a list of my favorite homeschool resources to help you on your educational journey. I hope this lists gives you a head start on these amazing resources to help make your homeschool fun.

The Good and The Beautiful

The Good and The Beautiful offers a beautifully designed curriculum that covers a wide range of subjects. Known for its rich literature-based approach, it’s a favorite in our home for its quality and affordability.

BJU Homeschool Online

BJU Homeschool Online provides a comprehensive, Christian-based curriculum that includes both print and digital resources. We love their heritage studies and the big kids have fun doing this more “hands off” style of learning for that subject.

Thistle and Biscuits

Thistle and Biscuits is a delightful blog that offers a wealth of homeschooling inspiration, lesson plans, and creative ideas. Their digital products are STUNNING. We have enjoyed using the country unit studies.

Treehouse Schoolhouse

Treehouse Schoolhouse is another fantastic blog filled with educational activities, homeschooling tips, and printables. Our favorite item from them is the Connect Christmas. It is truly a magical experience my family looks forward to every year.

Classical Conversations

Classical Conversations is a nationwide network of homeschooling communities that provides a classical education approach. Their supportive communities offer weekly gatherings and resources for both parents and students.

Five in a Row

Five in a Row is a literature-based curriculum that centers around classic children’s books. It offers engaging activities and discussions to deepen understanding and love for literature.

As you can see, we do a little mix of everything here in our home. And that’s what we love. I don’t like to contain ourselves to one style of teaching. I truly believe there are seasons for everything and it’s important to do what ignites passion in your family’s homeschool.

Explore these resources, mix and match as needed, and watch your homeschooling adventure flourish. With the right tools at your disposal, you’ll be well-equipped to provide your child with a well-rounded and fulfilling education. Happy homeschooling!
